Google introduces Google Play Points and rewards for the U.S.

For example, there could be a week or month where you could double or triple your points earned for in-app purchases. Google Play Points was already available in Japan and South Korea, today Google is bringing it to the United States. If the option isn't showing up, it's simply not live for your account yet.

Several apps participate in Play Points during its introduction in the US. How many Play Points you'll need to have to buy any of these choices and how long it will take remains to be seen.

The app has also been delivering millions of invisible ads and fake clicks, passing on user data about real views, clicks and purchases to ad networks, according to Upstream. You can download the APK file from the source if you don't want to wait for Google to release it in your country. That's because points can be redeemed for Play credit.

If you don't like the idea of spending money to earn points, Google has you covered, sort of. If these transactions were processed, researchers say they would have potentially cost users up to $18 million in unwanted charges.

Additionally, Google is partnering with some popular app and game developers on Google Play to enable redeeming of points for in-app items such as characters and gems.

During special events, you can earn more points than usual. Each tier will also come with its own set of bonuses.

There are four different Tiers within the Play Points program. Each level of the points accumulated, and the higher the level, the greater the weekly benefits and prizes.

After signing up for this program, every app, movie, book, subscription service, or in-app item you buy will net you Play Points. These won't be on just anything though.

We shouldn't condemn Google for one malicious app since the giant tech company from Mountain View has provided its customers countless useful apps over the years.
