But there were fears Baby Yoda merchandise might not go on sale until after the holiday season, as Disney had apparently held back in an attempt to prevent leaks of the surprise character. You may be in luck.

Fans of Baby Yoda - which is the entire universe at this point - will be very excited to know that, despite the delay, Baby Yoda toys will arrive in stores before Christmas, according to WGN Chicago. The going wouldn't be easy, however. By tapping into Kinderschema, a set of characteristics that were first described by the Austrian ethologist Konrad Lorenz and include "large eyes relative to face", "rounded, protruding cheeks", a "rounded body shape", and a "large" and "rounded head". When Greef Karga (Carl Weathers) jokes that the Mandalorian's clients might eat the baby or turn it into a wall-hanging, Mando looks more anxious than amused. Lucasfilm was surprisingly successful in doing so until the show aired.

As CNBC's Sarah Whitten reports, apparel and accessories featuring the cute little Yoda critter will be available through Amazon, Zazzle, Target, Kohl's, Macy's, Hot Topic and Box Lunch.

In terms of toys or plushes, they claim that "pre-sales. will be available in the coming weeks". While Disney already released a bunch of merch for The Mandalorian as well as Star Wars Episode 9: The Rise of Skywalker and the Fallen Order video game, the baby green alien - also known as "the child" - was kept under wraps until the launch of the new series on the streaming platform. "It is uncertain when that merchandise will be shipped". Or, you know, just buy them for yourselves - you're fully grown adults.

If you can't wait that long for Baby Yoda, however, there are two shirts available on Amazon now.

Star Wars fans are becoming increasingly obsessed with getting their weekly fix of The Mandalorian.
