Liverpool vs Leicester City

Rampant Liverpool moved 13 points clear at the top of the Premier League after Roberto Firmino struck twice in an emphatic 4-0 win at second-placed Leicester City. It's also become slightly irrelevant as to when they will win it, too. The Reds, even without a couple key players, should feel good about getting a result.

Before yesterday's top-of-the-table clash between the Reds and Leicester, the champions were 11 points behind the leaders (49) and trailed the Foxes (39) by a point.

On Boxing Day, first-place Liverpool visits second-place Leicester City with so much on the line. By doing so, they will put Guardiola's team firmly in the shade.

Thursday evening's 4-0 romping was Liverpool's biggest of the season so far. He provided the two assists for Firmino's goals, taking his assists tally for the year to 21, and then he swept in his second goal of the season for his team's fourth.

Title contenders Leicester City are now in second spot with 39 points.

Liverpool held the narrow lead before James Milner found the net on a 71st minute penalty kick.

Roberto Firmino netted the victor against Flamengo in Qatar and the forward completed two crosses from Alexander-Arnold at King Power Stadium.

That is how the Anfield side are unbeaten in the Premier League this season - and have been for 34 games.

Liverpool's consistency has been off the scale.

A number of Liverpool fans saw the tweet from Lineker and many of them were sent into a frenzy as they all looked to share their own views on the right-back.

Klopp said: "We try to use the skills of the two boys - good crosses, speed, very lively, very fearless and very fit endurance-wise so they can do the defensive transition as well".

"The players have been brilliant and this is another learning game for them, they see the physicality you need to compete".

"They are going to be very, very hard to stop".

However, Gini Wijnaldum, who did not come on over the course of the 120 minutes in Doha, is fit again and should be looking to reclaim his place in midfield. 'They have the power and strength and now the big thing is the confidence.

"Having won the Champions League, Club World Cup and Super Cup, they have the feeling and the squad is very strong".

Back then, the Premier League presented Arsenal with a specially made gold trophy to mark the achievement.

The newly crowned "World Champions" edged Flamengo in Doha, Qatar, to lift the Club World Cup for the first time on Saturday when Roberto Firmino again provided a timely victor late.
