Once Again, Melania Trump’s White House Christmas Is Creepy as Hell

First Lady Melania Trump has transitioned the Trump White House Christmas aesthetic from last year's daunting Yuletide Black Lodge theme to something like a repeat of 2017's cold, detached Fortress of Solitude motif.

American patriotism, which became socially acceptable again in late 2016, is evident throughout the Christmas decor at the White House, where traditional holiday green mingles with formidable red, white, and blue, and a gingerbread White House is flanked by models of famed American landmarks including Mount Rushmore, the Golden Gate Bridge, and the Statue of Liberty.

The first Christmas was a dazzling sparkling winter wonderland theme, the second Christmas was the bold red trees that went viral on social media.

The East Colonnade of the White House is lined with double rows of see-through panels etched with more than 60 examples of American design, innovation and architecture, ranging from the Woolworth Building in New York City to the Space Needle in Seattle.

The White House previewed the decorations for journalists on Monday before Trump and the first lady were to depart for London.

Christmas decorations are on display in the East Room at the White House, Dec. 2, 2019, in Washington, D.C. No matter which state they call home, many Americans share a strong set of values and deep appreciation for the traditions and history of our great nation. According to the statement, the State Dining Room, "celebrates America the attractive", with a gingerbread rendition of the South Portico of the White House and landmarks from across the country.
