Queen Elizabeth appears to scold Princess Anne for not meeting Trump

Queen: "Anne, get over here right this instant".

Footage has emerged from a welcoming event for the NATO Summit at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday night where it looks like the Queen is motioning to her daughter Princess Anne to be in the royal welcome and to greet Donald and Melania.

The 93-year-old Queen was filmed warmly greeting Trump alongside her son, inheritor to the throne Prince Charles, and his spouse Camilla.

The Queen is then seen gesturing with her hand to Anne, who merely looks at her mother, shrugs her shoulders and lifts her hands.

"Princess Anne is such a stable hand, perhaps it's time for us to see more of her", he stated. "And she wasn't told off by the Queen", the journalist explained on Twitter.

By Wednesday, "Princess Anne" was top of UK Twitter trends.

The queen was hosting Trump and other world leaders, who are in London for a North Atlantic Treaty Organisation leaders summit, when an exchange between her and her daughter was caught on camera. Video shows the Trumps greeting and chatting with the Queen, Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla Parker-Bowles.

In the longer version of the video, you can hear her say "It's just me, and this lot" as she shrugs and points to the house staff behind her.

Regardless, the Princess was instantly lauded as the Royal family's newest most unbothered member as the moment went viral. No, she didn't snub the Trumps. Princess Anne, in a move familiar to anyone trying to avoid a social interaction, simply shrugs in response.

But a royal reporter who was inside the event is setting the record straight.

Princess Anne is just one of the most hard working people in the royal household, holding down 179 days of involvements in 2016 - far out numbering those carried out by various other relatives.

But the queen is the star of the show, and nobody works a room like her.

I don't know why you're all surprised that Princess Anne is the queen of colour. She is often dubbed the "hardest-working royal" by the British press for taking part in more royal "engagements" than any other member of the royal family. Later on in the evening, the royal was apparently caught talking major shit about the former Apprentice host with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and President of France Emmanuel Macron.
