Vinatieri, Hilton ruled out of Colts game at Tampa Bay

He was limited in practice Wednesday with a knee injury, did not practice Thursday and was ruled out on Friday. Before 2019, he hadn't missed more than three extra-point attempts in any season.

Hilton missed two games to injury last season but had previously played in 94 of a possible 96 games in his National Football League career. It has bothered him sporadically throughout the worst season of his 24-year career.

In 12 appearances this season, Winston, selected with the number one pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, has scored 20 interceptions and 22 touchdowns for the Buccaneers (5-7). Adam Vinatieri's kicking woes have probably cost the Colts at least two wins. As a potential insurance claimed the Colts, kicker Chase McLaughlin have cut from the 49ers and renounced the close end of Matt Lengel. He's played well, making all 15 extra point attempts and 13-of-17 field goal tries.

Dealing with a knee injury that will nearly certainly keep him out of the Week 14 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, there is a chance this is last we have seen from the 46-year-old. Corner Kenny Moore is also out. Running back Marlon Mack and rookie receiver Parris Campbell are expected to see action Sunday.

The Bucs welcome the 6-6 Indianapolis Colts to town in Week 14, who have lost four of their last five games and are fighting to keep their slim playoff hopes alive.
