Nick Gordon Seemed "Happy" and "Calm" Just Hours Before His Death

Bobbi Kristina Brown's former boyfriend, Nick Gordon, has died from a suspected drug overdose.

According to Daily Mail, sources say Gordon, 30, was rushed into intensive care before suffering a series of heart attacks amid New Year's Eve celebrations in Florida.

His death comes almost eight years after legendary pop singer Whitney Houston was found dead in February 2012 at a Beverly Hills hotel.

Gordon and a friend found Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown's daughter face down in a bathtub on January 31, 2015, and she was placed in an induced coma.

Gordon spent years being raised by Houston in her home and grew up alongside Bobbi Kristina, although he was never formally adopted by the pop singer. "We are devastated by the loss of my lovely brother", Walker Jr. said.

Brown's family accused Gordon of being responsible for Brown's death, claiming in a wrongful death lawsuit that he was physically abusive toward Brown and had given her a "toxic cocktail" to render her unconscious before putting her face-down in a bathtub, leading to brain damage that would ultimately prove fatal, according to CNN. She spent six months on life support before she eventually died at 22-years-old.

It really is sad that Nick Gordon only barely outlived his ex-fiancé after four and a half years of dealing with her death and the controversy that it yielded. He leaves a void in the hearts of my family and his friends, Nick's battle in life was not an easy one. An autopsy showed that she had morphine, cocaine, alcohol and prescription drugs in her body, but the medical examiner couldn't determine if she killed herself, if someone else killed her or if her death was accidental.

Bobbi Kristina Brown's ex Nick Gordon has died aged 30.

It appears Gordon was hospitalized for a short time before his death, TMZ reported.

Nick was found liable for Bobbi's death. Joe S Habachy said in his statement that he was there with a heavy heart, learning that his client of many years, Nicholas Chad Gordon, had passed away. She had dismissed the current charges - that he held her prisoner in her mother's house and knocked her - saying she was as much to impute as he was.

A judge ordered Gordon to pay $36 million to her estate as a result of the case decision.
