Bear takes slow stroll among surburban California properties before being captured

An "elderly" black bear wandered through a Los Angeles suburb for hours on Friday, getting close to residents as they left for work and filmed by news crews that dared getting a close shot of the animal before it was tranquilized. Video showed it walking in circles and laying on a front lawn.

This is NOT what the claiming "grin and bear it" is everything about- yet a number of Southern California locals appear to assume so- coming in person with among nature's purest eliminating makers. The Monrovia Police Department said officers were monitoring the situation and state Department of Fish and Wildlife personnel were summoned.

The agency told KCAL that the bear was probably just hungry, and that bears will often visit neighborhoods on trash day in search of food, the agency said.

The bear has now been tranquillised and taken back to a nearby forest, according to California's Department of Fish and Wildlife.

Daly also pointed out that bear sightings in the area are not unusual.

There was a bear spotted in the identical community on Thursday, but it is unclear if it is the very same animal.

"Trashcans come out on Friday and they come looking for something to eat", Douglas Dennis said.

Aerials show the bear roaming from house to house.

It was, in fact, trash day in Monrovia when the bear made a decision to visit, KCAL said. The post has been updated with the correct spelling: Daly.
