You can now enjoy the Apple TV app on 2019 LG TVs

San Francisco, Feb 4 (SocialNews.XYZ) LG Electronics (LG) LG has announced that the Apple TV app and accompanying Apple TV+ streaming service are now available on select 2019 LG TVs in the USA along with more than 80 other countries.

LG TVs in 80 countries will now be able to access the content offered by Apple including direct subscriptions to premium video services available both online and offline, ad-free and on-demand - and access to the iTunes video library. "A quick click of the LG Magic Remote is all it takes to get started", LG said.

At CES earlier this year LG announced that it would be adding the Apple TV add to its newer models of smart TVs.

Apple TV on LG TVs can be accessed from the LG Home Launcher, and it essentially offers the same experience as it does on other devices. Many are now in 4K with Dolby Vision HDR support as well, since it is compatible with most new LG TVs.

LG's 2019 TVs also support Apple AirPlay 2, which allows users to share or mirror content from their iPhone, iPad or Mac directly to an LG TV.

Apple's smart home infrastructure HomeKit is also supported by LG, making it possible for customers to control their TV via voice through Siri. Customers can also play music on the TV and sync it with other AirPlay 2 compatible speakers anywhere in the home.

All LG 2020 TVs will get the applications from launch, while later this year LG will release the features to even older models of 2018.

A few weeks later and the South Korean manufacturer has begun that process, confirming that it plans to roll the app out to select 2019 models which include its OLED and NanoCell LCD offerings.
