Drake Self-Quarantines After Hanging Out with Kevin Durant Before Coronavirus Diagnosis

A total of four Nets players have tested positive for coronavirus, the team said in a statement, with only one now showing symptoms.

"He tested positive, but is feeling fine and said he has not shown symptoms", The Athletic said on its website late Tuesday as Durant, 31, told them. "We're going to get through this", he also added.

The Nets confirmed Tuesday that four players had returned positive tests for Covid-19, less than a week after the global outbreak prompted the suspension of the National Basketball Association season.

The president was asked about the issue at a news conference Wednesday, a day after the Brooklyn Nets announced three of its players who showed no symptoms were among an unknown number of team members tested for the coronavirus.

In the Nets statement, meanwhile, the team said of the players who were diagnosed, three were asymptomatic while the fourth is now exhibiting symptoms.

In a news release, the Nets said they were "working closely with local health authorities on reporting" and that the Nets' entire traveling party - including coaches, staff and players - have been asked to isolate and monitor any possible symptoms. Oklahoma City was set to host Utah last Wednesday, but the game was postponed after Rudy Gobert's positive test.

The teams played each other on 10 March. The Nets reportedly paid a private company to conduct the tests.

The NBA did not specifically respond to criticisms of players being tested, but reasoned that players being tested was in the interest of public health.

De Blasio wondered about why examinations for the Nets had actually been prioritised over seriously unwell people, and also included that "tests should not be for the wealthy, but for the sick".

"The players are going stir insane, they want to play, they want to compete. I think that's the scariest part about this virus".

"The organization is now notifying anyone who has had known contact with the players, including recent opponents, and is working closely with state and local health authorities on reporting", the Nets' statement read.

The Lakers said in a statement Tuesday they had been informed of the four Nets players testing positive and have been in touch with their own players and staff.
