WhatsApp may soon allow use of one account on multiple devices

Despite the hiccups stemming from the outbreak of coronavirus, Facebook-owned WhatsApp is doing everything possible to serve its users around the globe. The version 2.20.110 beta for Android comes with feature but it is still inactive.

Here's all you need to know about them.

We've learned from WhatsApp fansite WABetainfo (via MSPoweruser) that the convenience of using your WhatsApp account on multiple devices is finally to arrive soon. If you're a WhatsApp user and are now using multiple devices, it's likely that you'll appreciate the feature. The feature was spotted in the beta version of WhatsApp for iPhone in November past year, and traces of it being in development go back to as far as July 2019.

The capability, according to the latest release, now goes by the name of "Expiring messages" and works for both group (visible to administrators) and individual chats. Expiring messages have been quite popular for a while now, especially thanks to Snapchat.

These new features are now being tested in the WhatsApp beta app. Now users can only select between having message vanish after a day, a week or a month.

As per WABetainfo, WhatsApp will also send the notification to the users if their contacts add a new device or log in from a new device.WhatsApp will change the encryption keys every time a user logs in from a new device.

Also, when you enable the option, a timer logo appears next to the profile picture of the contact to show that the conversation has been configured to clear messages after a particular time.

Available in future for iOS and Android!

But it is support for multiple devices that is more interesting.
