Eva Mendes has vowed not to share pictures of her children online until they're old enough to consent.
She's always been very private when it comes to speaking about her family life with Ryan Gosling and their two children. I imply, falling in love with him.
She wrote: "hi! I have always had a clear boundary when it comes to my man and my kids".
However, after posting the caption, the Out of Time performer was asked by a follower why she doesn't openly share parts of her family life.
"I'll talk about them of course, with limits, but I won't post pictures of our daily life", she continued. "Because I do not post my around instant household, and it seems really wrong to post on job, here you go...", she shared Instagram, along with a photograph of a painting.
"As far as Ryan, I'll only post flashbacks of things that are already "out there" (like pics from movies we did or stuff like that)", she shared last month, while responding to a fan who said they "wouldn't mind an appearance by Ryan on this page".
She added, "As far as Ryan and I, it just works for us this way, To stay private".
Eva shares daughters, Esmeralda Amada, five, and Amada Lee, three, with Ryan.
Eva and Ryan began dating after they met on the set of The Place Beyond the Pines back in 2011.
They went on to welcome Esmeralda in 2014 and Amada in 2016.
She recently posted a photo of a favourite piece of art which sparked a discussion about the content she posts, and why it rarely, if ever, features material relating to Gosling or their two daughters.
Mendes told Women's Health past year that meeting Gosling made her want children. While the "La La Land" actor gave Mendes the most romantic shoutout while accepting a Golden Globe for best actor in a musical or comedy film, the couple was seen recreating their first date to Disneyland a few months later, as they strolled about the park hand-in-hand. I have always enjoyed this person and it seems particularly relevant at this time. I care about people and their questions, so I'm happy to answer honestly. And because my kids continue to be so modest and do not know what submitting their picture actually implies, I really don't have their approval. "They've never seen me get ready for something; they've never seen me at work".
