Giants' Deandre Baker Turns Himself In Amid Armed Robbery Allegations

On Friday, Grieco told Condotta that the witness reports he has state "the exact opposite" of what's in the police report.

Cohen urged people not to "rush to judgment" and thanked law enforcement for assuring Baker's privacy "during this hard time". Miramar, where the incident occurred Wednesday, is about 17 miles from Dunbar's native Miami. Cohen said Saturday that police had treated Baker fairly but that there was more to the story than authorities had been told.

Grieco introduced five affidavits from what he said are the same four victims mentioned in the arrest warrants and an independent witness that he said are "completely recanting what they said to the police back on Wednesday". Baker, Dunbar and two other men then allegedly began robbing other people at the party of thousands of dollars in cash, watches and other valuables.

Dunbar, who was traded from the Washington Redskins to the Seattle Seahawks in March, is set to make about $3.5 million this year.

Witnesses identified Baker and Dunbar as two of the assailants.

The police affidavit said one witness was "under the impression this was planned out", as the three getaway vehicles "were later pre-positioned to expedite an immediate departure from the area".

"I don't believe so your honor, " Grieco said when asked if there would be a need for now for Dunbar to travel out of state. According to the arrest warrant, Baker, Dunbar and a third person fled the scene in luxury cars, including a Lamborgini, Mercedes-Benz and BMW.

Dunbar was also charged with four attempts of armed robbery by the Miramar Police Department.

Baker is charged with four counts each of aggravated assault with a firearm and armed robbery, the BSO jail website said. "We welcome anyone that may want to provide a new statement to come into the police department and do so". He turned himself in at the Broward County Jail.

The Seahawks have made just one public comment regarding Dunbar's alleged involvement in the case, deferring questions to police and National Football League investigators.

Baker was among the Giants' first-round picks in the 2019 NFL Draft. We have been in contact with DeAndre.

"We are aware of the situation involving Quinton Dunbar and still gathering information". As of right now, this is a developing story with the NFL, Seahawks, and Giants investigating what really went down. "We have no further comment at this time", it said in a statement, according to ESPN.
