More Positive COVID-19 Cases in Iowa ; 11 More in BV County

Hancock County now has had 36 confirmed and 10 probable cases of COVID-19, Hancock Public Health reported today.

While there have been social media reports about people possibly dying due to COVID-19, the state's official tally remains at 44.

Another Marshall County resident has tested positive for COVID-19.

There are 0 new COVID-19 cases reported in Muhlenberg County Sunday. The state must wait for a death certificate to be filed before reporting a death as coronavirus-related.

FCPH is working with the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) to conduct contact tracing to determine if any of the close contacts of these individuals are sick.

"We all know there are many telephone scams that go around and want to reassure that if you receive an automated message from ISDH, it is legitimate", states a county health department press release. Nearly 1,600 have died, while another 145 residents likely died of COVID-19 but had no positive test.
