Nawazuddin Siddiquis wife hints toxic marriage to be cause of divorce

The notice was sent to the "Sacred Games" star on May 7 through email and WhatsApp due to the unavailability of speed post amid the coronavirus pandemic, lawyer for Aaliya (Anjali), Abhay Sahai said. But recently the actor has been in the news after his wife of 10 years, Aaliya Siddiqui has filed for divorce from him, citing some serious issues.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui, whose next film Ghoomketu is directly releasing on streaming service Zee5, says that actors should not be bothered about whether their films open on the big screen or OTT platform. They were together for nearly 10 years and now Aaliya chose to step out of this relationship and also wants sole custody of their kids. "He (Nawaz) had never raised his hands on me, but the shouting and arguments had become unbearable". She said, "There are a lot of things that I don't want to bring in the public domain as of now, but our problems started soon after we got married over a decade ago". She also wants to have sole custody of the two children. Self-respect is extremely important in a marriage. Woh meri khatam ho chuki thi (that didn't exist for me), I didn't have that. He wanted me to not speak in front of others as he didn't feel I could. The lady, in one of her interviews, also claimed that Shamas was physically violent with her. "I don't want to be reminded that I am using someone's identity for my benefit". I haven't thought much about the future, but I don't want this marriage anymore. "I have been handling everything but now things have escalated beyond fix", she said.

Aaliya Sent Legal Notice On May 7

Aaliya went on to state, "I want to go with the flow. There are no chances of reconciliation".

According to reports, the two had been facing problems in the marriage, but the actor hoped to win back Aaliya's trust, and hence the demand for a divorce came as a shock to him. The notice claims maintenance and divorce.
