Seahawks CB Quinton Dunbar wanted in connection with armed robbery in Florida

Before the trade, Dunbar in multiple interviews claimed had been "disrespected" over money by Washington and welcomed the move to Seattle.

Baker was the New York Giants' first-round pick in 2019 out of Georgia, where he was a first-team All-American and won the Jim Thorpe Award as the top defensive back in the country. Dunbar is wanted for four counts of Armed Robbery with a firearm, Miramar police said.

Neither player was in custody as of Thursday afternoon, although ESPN reported one player had talked with police about turning himself in. "We will defer all further comment to league investigators and local authorities".

Baker and Dunbar made off with $7,000 in cash in addition to several valuable watches including an $18,000 Rolex watch, a $25,000 Hublot, and an Audemars Piguet.

A statement issued by the New York Giants said they had been in touch with Deandre Baker and they had no further comment. The police report also states that Baker directed the third unidentified assailant to shoot an attendant of the cookout, though there is no mention of shots fired in the police report.

FYI, the alleged getaway cars were SICK - a Lamborghini, a Mercedes-Benz and a BMW. "I just hope to repay them with the way I carry myself as a person", Dunbar told them about being acquired by the Seahawks.

Dunbar played at Florida and then was an undrafted free agent for Washington, which moved him from receiver to cornerback. Baker is additionally wanted on four counts of aggravated assault.

Baker was a first-round draft pick of the Giants past year.

Cutting Dunbar would save the Seahawks $3.4 million in cap space, which gets them just under $20 million in total cap space - not including rookie contracts.

The charges are very serious, and while an arrest (and potential conviction) will take time, the Seahawks may end up making the decision to cut Dunbar sooner rather than later if they feel waiting will only make things worse.

"The last two years been some hiccups, but I'm at my best right now", he added. "He's a playmaker and we need depth at corner and we need to cover people up and we need to be able to match up really well; continue to do that".
