Azure Strike Gunvolt 3 will drop blue bombs on Nintendo Switch

A release date was not announced, as the game "has only just begun development".

The announcement was made during the BitSummit Gaiden event for games produced by independent developers, although not much information about this new entry in the Azure Striker GUNVOLT series was shared, except for an action-packed announcement trailer.

Fans should be excited, because Inti Creates and Keiji Inafune will be returning to bring Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 to the Nintendo Switch!

If the number in the title wasn't clear enough an indication, this is defined as a "true sequel" to the Azure Striker Gunvolt series.

On the one hand, a Gunvolt 3 means the series isn't ending GV's arc with that "Joule is better off without me" realization that didn't make any sense in Gunvolt 2 either.

The game is in development for Nintendo Switch.
