In Pure Deadpool Fashion, Watch Ryan Reynolds Ruin an X-Men Reunion

"X-Men Origins", pointed out Halle Berry and Patrick Stewart. Only, it didn't go that well once another member of the X-Universe dropped in: Deadpool himself, Ryan Reynolds.

The X-Men got together over the weekend for a charity reunion Zoom call, but found themselves with an uninvited guest.

"SO many timelines", wise-cracks Reynolds, aka Deadpool.

"Ryan, the cast and I were all just reminiscing about the movie that we're in together", quipped the Wolverine star to the actor who does not appear in the original X-Men flick (although he does star in 2009's X-Men Originals: Wolverine).

"X-Men" stars Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry, Famke Janssen and P Patrick Stewart had reunited via Zoom as part of Global Citizen: Unite For Our Future benefit concert. That's because Ryan Reynolds recently crashed a virtual gathering of original X-Men actors, who were celebrating the first movie's 20th anniversary.

Sophie Turner and James McAvoy, both from X-Men: Dark Phoenix, then appear on screen for a brief moment before everyone starts signing off.

"Oh, sorry, I thought this was the Game of Thrones reunion", Turner said after joining, before quickly leaving the chat.

Soon, almost everyone had left to attend other reunions (for Star Trek and James Bond, for instance) except Reynolds and Jackman. As the video continues, Ryan Reynolds actually does end up joining the call, but the stars aren't too keen on sticking around once he enters. Schrieber also happens to be part of the cast of X-Men Origins: Wolverine where he played Logan's brother Sabretooth.

"Sometime in the not too distant future the hard work of every global citizen will bring about a healthier, safer, more equitable world", he said.

What did you think of the reunion? "To all the first responders, essential workers and those fighting for racial justice: I stand in awe of your efforts this year and I stand with you".
