Target just announced an important safety change for customers

Retailers including Walmart Inc, Kroger Co and Kohls Corp have already made it compulsory for shoppers to wear masks, which is widely accepted as one the most effective ways to avoid contracting the virus.

There are now 36 states requiring residents to wear a mask in public.

Two more major retail stores have announced they will require customers to wear face masks as the number of coronavirus cases increase across the U.S.

Kohl's, a department store chain, also released a statement saying that mask requirements will go into effect July 20. At cafes where a local government mandate is not in place, customers without masks can order at a drive-thru, curbside pickup or have Starbucks delivered.

At the front entrance, an employee is stationed asking each person to put on a mask, offering up a free one if you do not have one.

The Center for Disease Control announced a face mask mandate for most individuals.

Officials added the new requirement, which will go into effect on Monday will "help bring consistency across stores and clubs".

As a reminder, the CDC recommends that "people wear cloth face coverings in public settings when around people outside of their household, especially when other social distancing measures are hard to maintain".

This person will be wearing a black polo, and their job is to help enforce the mask rule at the front of the store.

He said employees also need the greater pay as they juggle additional expenditures, such as child care, and the pandemic jeopardizes whether their children can return to school.

"To best serve our communities and protect the health and safety of our shoppers and associates, face coverings will be required in all stores beginning Monday, July 20", the St. Clairsville Walmart said via Facebook. He known as for the reinstatement of hazard pay for grocery employees who face higher danger as coronavirus instances rise in a majority of states.

Costco and Menards were among stores that already required masks.

In its statement, Walmart said that 65 percent of its stores now are in areas where there is already some form of government mandate to wear masks. Target will also provide disposable masks at store entrances for customers who do not have masks.

The policy will go into effect August 1.

Aldi will begin applying this policy from 27 July, whereas Publix Supermarkets will begin on Tuesday. "If a customer refuses to adhere to store policies, they are putting employees and other customers at undue risk".

At least one company, CVS, acknowledged that it will count on consumers to comply with the brand-new requirement.
