COVID-19 checkup: New case added on southern Vancouver Island

Women account for 53% of county COVID-19 cases, while men account for 47%, according to Friday's county health data.

Clark County Public Health reported 32 new cases of COVID-19 and no new deaths Friday.

In total there have been 147 cases reported in residents younger than 20, 302 in their 20s, 181 in their 30s, 148 in their 40s, 142 in their 50s, 85 in their 60s, 61 in their 70s and 70 older than 80.

Breakdown of cases by zip codes includes: 196 cases for Sidney (45365); Anna (45302) 37 cases; Botkins (45306) 17 cases; Conover (45317) three cases; Fort Loramie/Newport (45845) 26 cases; Houston (45333) 17 cases; Jackson Center (45334) 16 cases; Maplewood (45340) five cases; Minster (45865) 17 cases; Piqua (45356) seven cases; Port Jefferson (45360) two cases; and Russian Federation (45363) nine cases.

No new health care or community outbreaks have been reported, and the outbreak on Haida Gwaii has been declared over, with no new cases identified in two incubation periods. The state hasn't registered 1,000 new cases in a single day since July 28. There are 23 people in hospital, seven of whom are in intensive care.

There's one new case on Vancouver Island, for a total of 174 cases so far.

Residents ages 20 to 29 represent almost 20% of total Will County COVID-19 cases as of August 25, according to the Will County Health Department.

The Darke County General Health District reported the county has 585 positive cases with 64 hospitalizations.

In nursing and personal care homes alone, there have been 20,979 cases in residents and 4,578 cases in employees.

There are now 974 active cases of COVID-19, which include four new cases in the Interior Health region. Additionally, there are eight total probable deaths from COVID-19. Sanborn County had previously been without an active case, so it now has one active case as the new positive case is the 14th positive case in the county.

They reported no new deaths, leaving the death toll in the province at 204. No one in the region is now in hospital with the virus. There have been 4,105 deaths related to COVID-19 in Ohio.
