COVID-19 hospitalizations in Virginia are down day-to-day

The Province of Ontario has confirmed 33 new COVID-19 cases, with no reported deaths, as of Tuesday morning. It means the city has a rate per 100,000 people of 122 while the county has a rate of 87.

6 cases have recovered from yesterday, bringing the total of active cases to 40 across Niagara.

There are now 605 people in Hidalgo County hospitals with the coronavirus, and 226 of those cases are being treated in intensive care units.

County records show that the region has not returned fewer cases in a single day since June 19, when the number was 134. There are no known active cases. Four Whitley County residents are isolating in the hospital, and 79 Whitley County residents are isolating at home. The county reports 468 patients with COVID-like symptoms visited county ERs in the time frame, which represents about 24% of all ER visits in that span.

The number of COVID-19 cases in Tioga County remained at 202 on Tuesday, according to a press release from County Legislative Chairwoman Martha Sauerbrey.

On July 21, Whitley County reported its only COVID-19 death. Today marks the second day in a row with no new deaths reported.

The news comes on the same day that 283 more people tested positive for the coronavirus, raising that total to 20,431. There's one local case in Tawau, Sabah which involves a foreigner.

The health department estimates 77 percent of those who have contracted the virus have recovered. "We can only beat COVID-19 by working together".

The update said that of the eight new cases, one is from Tobago.

Statewide there have been 35,793 total positive cases of the COVID-19 virus in Kentucky, and 783 total deaths from the virus.

School staff will arrive on September 8 to receive instructions on plans to prevent transmission of COVID-19 and begin adjusting to the new reality.
