Google Has Already Given Up On Pixel 4

Google has discontinued sales of the Pixel 4 and the Pixel 4 XL in the USA and some other regions. Well, Google has now discontinued its fourth iteration of devices i.e. Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL. The flagship phones are no longer available in Google's USA store. It is worth noting that Google never launched its Pixel 4 phones in India. Google has not yet given a date but the Pixel 5 will most likely be released together with the Pixel 4a (5G).

The phones are no longer available for purchase in the Google Store in the USA but are still available in partner stores for the time being, reports CNET. The reviews posted by customers revealed that Pixel 4 has poor battery life.

The decision to end the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL's run is unusual as Google normally sells its devices for about 18 months - up to six months after announcing upcoming smartphones.

According to a new report by 9to5Google, Google is working on a foldable smartphone. The Pixel 4a 5G and the Pixel 5 are on the way. However, it is surprising to see Google discontinuing a phone whose successor is still months away from launch.

The Pixel 5 is expected to be a mid-range handset as well, the first time it will sell a flagship phone without flagship specifications.

American multinational technology company Google has made its space in the smartphone segment with its Pixel series smartphones. We can only wait till October 2020 as Google usually launches their flagship phone in Q3 of every year.
