Mike Tyson comeback fight with Roy Jones Jr delayed until November

The eight-round exhibition bout between legendary heavyweight boxer Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr has been postponed. Coming off two defeats in a row Badou Jack (22-3-3, 13 KOs) is scheduled to face unbeaten Blake McKernan (13-0-0, 6 KOs).

"Given the enormous interest, the holiday weekend will make this historic battle an even bigger viewing event, marking the first live pay-per-view event brought to the world by Triller as the first of the "Triller Battles" series", the company said in a statement to TMZ. Also, a special belt will be commissioned for the victor of what has been billed as an exhibition for charity.

According to a press release by Triller, the 8-round showdown was slated for September 12 but has been pushed back to november 28.

"I'm ready and I stay ready, November 28th is gonna be epic", Jones said. The 54-year-old will now have to wait a little longer to get back in the ring after it was announced his fight against Jones Jr. has been pushed back until November 28.

Although the exhibition fight between Tyson and Jones has been criticised by many in boxing circles, Tyson insists the bout will be a serious contest.

"This is search and destroy and I'm looking forward to recapturing my glory".

There are plenty of other fights occurring on the night, with YouTuber Jake Paul taking on ex-NBA star Nate Robinson. And I add: "If the opportunity presents itself I will knock him out, I am always looking for it".
