BC health officials announce 317 new coronavirus cases since Friday

Whitley County has reported a total of two COVID-19 deaths with the first happening on July 21, and the second happening on August 20.

The Whitley County Health Department reported 11 new COVID-19 cases Monday, 10 new COVID-19 cases Friday, six new cases Thursday, four new cases Wednesday and four new cases Tuesday.

The Laurel County Health Department reported its seventh COVID-19 death on September 10, which involved a 93-year-old male. So far, IL has conducted a total of 4,771,796 COVID-19 tests.

"I urge all residents to continue taking precautions to slow the spread of COVID-19", county judge Richard F. Cortez said in a news release. Currently, two Shelby County residents are hospitalized because of COVID-19.

The province said that 5,446 individuals who tested positive have now recovered.

Louth (18) has the second-highest number of the newly confirmed cases behind Dublin (108), while Meath (10) has the fourth-highest.

"The decreasing number of daily hospitalizations is an important indicator because it is an accurate representation of how many people are now seriously ill from the virus", health officials wrote in a news release. A total of 120 employees have been tested, with 105 being negative.

Knox County has a total of 413 COVID-19 cases, including 38 active cases. The county's testing rate per 1,000 people was 223.4. There are 142 current cases.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) reported a record daily number of cases of Covid-19 on Sunday (13 September), with 307,930 confirmed cases reported in 24 hours.

Miami County Public Health has reported 1,259 positive cases with 17 new cases over the weekend on Monday.

Whitley County has 53 active cases, including five people isolated in the hospital, and 48 isolated at home. There are 980 people who are presumed recovered from the virus.

On Monday, the county updated its neighborhood/municipality breakdown report, showing that Baldwin Borough now leads with the most cases (405), followed by Penn Hills (372), Ross (343), Mount Lebanon (285) and Monroeville (253). There have been 36 deaths, and 610 people have recovered.

Broken down by day, there were 87 new cases from Sunday and 55 on Monday.

Whitley County has had a total of 252 COVID-19 cases. Of those cases, 14,378 have been hospitalized with 3,097 admitted to the ICU.

Between March 24 and June 4, there were 22 COVID-19 cases diagnosed in Laurel County.

Of the cases notified today, 98 are men and 110 are women. The median age is 41.
