IPL 2020, MATCH 5: KKR vs MI

The United Arab Emirates chose to light up the iconic Burj Khalifa to welcome the Kolkata Knight riders IPL team which is co-owned by Shah Rukh Khan.

Mumbai Indians (MI) continued their domination over Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), comfortably winning their second game in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 by 49 runs and moving to a 1-1 record.

KKR looked to have an outside chance until the 16th over of the match in which Jasprit Bumrah (2/32) dismissed dangermen Andre Russell (11) and Eoin Morgan (16).

Kolkata eventually posted 146 for nine in reply, some way short of their target to start their campaign with a defeat, while Mumbai rebounded from an opening loss to Chennai Super Kings. "His experience is crucial for us", said skipper Rohit Sharma during the toss.

"Six months is a long time without cricket". Even the anthem for the KKR team was played and all the players got a place on the majestic monument.

"Don't want to be too analytical about it, the boys know where they need to get better".

Earlier, Rahul Chahar trapped Dinesh Karthik in front of the stumps with a googly.

Kings XI Punjab's Mayank Agarwal is second with 89 runs whereas Rajasthan Royals opener Sanju Samson is third with 74. They'll play their next game on September 26 against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
