PS5 pre-order and price reveal rumored for September 9

This week you can take self-care to the next level, by treating yo'self to a 24 carat gold PS5 - you're worth it, lads. In an interview from July, Eric Lemble, PlayStation's global marketing head, was asked if we could look at the different colors that led to the PS5's Holiday 2020 release.

A very precious clue was given to us a little while ago by TrulyExquisite, which in fact set the September 10 the opening of reservations for his special PS5 in 24-karat gold, as well as editions in 18-karat rose gold and platinum. The standard versions of these consoles will be priced as follows, with the 24k PlayStation 5 costing roughly $10,556, the 18K rose gold one costing $10,686, and the platinum version coming in at about $10,816. Each purchase will include a PlayStation 5 console, 2 DualSense controllers, and 1 3D Pulse headset, all of which will be stylishly plated in shiny metal. These are limited edition consoles with only 250 pieces made per model. PlayStation 5 will be showcased in a luxury wooden display case with free shipping and worldwide insurance.

With Microsoft announcing the Xbox Series S/X price, release date, and pre-order date all eyes are on Sony to reveal what the PS5 will cost and when we will be able to play and pre-order it.

It will cost £449 in the United Kingdom, $499 in the U.S., be available at the same time as the Series S - 10 November 2020 - and pre-orders will be available from 22 September. You don't want to wait too long, though - I have a feeling that these high-end luxury gaming consoles are going to disappear fast.
