World Health Organization chief decries vaccine nationalism

The trials were open label and not randomized, meaning there was no placebo and the participants knew they were receiving the vaccine and were not randomly assigned to different treatment groups.

Meanwhile, the head of the Tokyo Games says a lack of a coronavirus vaccine will not cause the Olympics to be postponed again.

"Ultimately, we must not pour additional fuel on the anti-vaccine lobby fires", he said.

Ramping up efforts with civil society and other local partners to ensure that people are well-informed about the COVID-19 vaccination process and putting measures in place to enhance trust and tackle misinformation about COVID-19 vaccines.
