Arnold Schwarzenegger feels ‘fantastic’ after heart surgery

Schwarzenegger thanked doctors from the Cleveland Clinic in OH and shared pictures showing him giving a thumbs up from his hospital bed and later back on his feet seeing the sights of the city.

Arnold Schwarzenegger took to Twitter Friday to thank the Cleveland Clinic after he underwent a successful heart surgery.

A procedure like this is undoubtedly a serious one, especially since the actor had a new pulmonary valve replaced prior.

Schwarzenegger was born with a bicuspid aortic valve, which means his valve only has two leaflets compared to the normal three. But the famous 73-year-old bodybuilder and action hero is still human and has been dealing with heart complications for the past few years. Then in March 2018, he had emergency open-heart surgery to replace his replacement pulmonic valve.

In 2003 he was elected governor of California and championed environmental policies.

"I feel fantastic and have already been walking the streets of Cleveland enjoying your incredible statues", the Terminator star wrote, including pictures of him exploring the downtown area. Schwarzenegger recalled how he had life-threatening surgery less than 24 hours after his first heart procedure "failed".

The actor has now shared with fans that he recently went under the knife to have an aortic valve replaced in Cleveland, Ohio. "Luckily it all turned out well".
