LeBron James honors Kobe Bryant after Lakers title

Frank Vogel gave an insight on what he told his players after the Los Angeles Lakers won the National Basketball Association title a few days ago.

That shouldn't come as much of a surprise as the team positioned themselves well by presenting a convincing case to keep Davis in the fold.

It began with replacing Luke Walton with Frank Vogel then finally consummating the Anthony Davis megadeal that failed to materialize at the trade deadline. James, 35, could also consider retirement at some point in the next couple seasons, and Davis may not want to remain with the Lakers once James hangs it up.

The 27-year-old thrived in his first season alongside LeBron James in Los Angeles averaging 26.1 points, 9.3 rebounds and 2.3 blocks over 62 regular-season games. Instead, he could sign a two-year deal at roughly $68 million with a player option for the second year.

It will be interesting to see which type of deal Davis ends up signing with the Lakers. That scenario may appeal to him the most.

As Snoop Dogg had promised earlier, he delivered it to the T. With the Los Angeles Lakers winning the NBA Championship, the famous rapper got a bunch of new body ink in order to celebrate the NBA title victory of the Lakers. By choosing not to opt in, he can hit free agency and sign a new max contract with the same team. Other role players such as Avery Bradley ($5 million) and JaVale McGee ($4.2 million) have important decisions to make with their player options for next season.
