How to Watch the 'Strawberry Moon' on Friday

"This eclipse will be visible from parts of Australia, Asia, Africa, Europe, and South America, but will not be visible from North America".

A penumbra, the bureau said, refers to a partially shaded outer region of a shadow that an object casts.

The Partial Solar Eclipse, occurs when the Moon, Sun, and the Earth are not in straight line but the Moon came in between the Sun and the Earth partially. The lunar surface is not completely shadowed by the earth's umbra (darkest part of a shadow).

What is the Strawberry Moon Eclipse?

Lunar eclipses occur when Earth's shadow blocks the Sun's light. Europe, Asia, and Micronesia. The reason for this is that its central one - the June 20 annular eclipse - is very central, very close to the season's theoretical midst. The Solar Eclipse will be visible from many parts of Northern India. "Looking at the sun is risky and can damage your eyes", it added. The total Solar Eclipse can only be seen from a small area on the Earth.

Before and during... can you see the difference?

The moon is doing something cool on Friday, and you could see it.

The next two lunar eclipses (also penumbral) of 2020 will be on July 4-5 and November 29-30. According to Time and Date the eclipse will start at 9:15 am on June 21 and will complete the entire process in about 6 hours and will end at 3:04 pm on June 21.

Though subtle, you'll be able to see the difference in the moon before and after the eclipse if you photograph both moments. This is a fun and easy way to document a penumbral eclipse, using nothing more than a tripod-mounted DSLR with at least a minimum 200mm focal length lens, or simply by holding up a smartphone camera to the eyepiece of a telescope.

For sure, Penumbrals aren't the most awesome eclipses to see, but in a time that sees many of us curtailing our travel plans astronomical and otherwise, we'll take whatever celestial action we can get.
