Delhi recorded over 7,000 COVID-19 cases for the first time taking the tally to over 4.23 lakh on Friday (November 6), while the death toll rose to 6,833 with 64 more fatalities, authorities said. The long-term care facility had a previous outbreak declared in mid-October.

The number of active cases across Franklin County on Friday reached 40, including two people who are hospitalized in other counties and not officially counted in the county's active case total, according to county Manager Donna Kissane. Benton County also had one new death.

The county also reported there were 159 individuals now hospitalized due to COVID-19 while 64 of them were being treated in an intensive care unit. Masks do not prevent you from getting COVID-19, the flu, or other contagious diseases but they do, however, prevent other people from catching certain diseases from you.

The province said it would only order a business to close if it was "clearly demonstrated" that it could not operate safely. The statewide positivity rate on Thursday was 1.99%, according to Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who said upstate NY is experiencing a "total reversal".
