Steelers Planning As Though Ben Roethlisberger Will Play

Veteran quarterback Roethlisberger, offensive lineman Jerald Hawkins, running back Jaylen Samuels and linebacker Vince Williams were added to the list on Tuesday.

All four are now eligible for Sunday's home game against the Cincinnati Bengals after continuing to test negative and avoiding the development of symptoms for five days.

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said he expects all players will be available for selection provided they passed testing. "The players are permitted to take part in virtual meetings".

The Pittsburgh Steelers are about to get some reinforcements back, starting with franchise quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.

"My body enjoyed the week off, " Roethlisberger declared after what would normally be an hour-long, light walkthrough practice Saturday that was instead ramped up somewhat for him. "It was fun to be home with them, but I definitely missed the guys".

Team spokesman Burt Lauten said the club was notified of McDonald's positive test on Monday morning and he immediately self-quarantined.

"Steelers' QB Ben Roethlisberger was deemed a high-risk, close contact, per source", ESPN's Adam Schefter tweeted. McFarland is not on the reserve/covid-19 list.

The Steelers are scheduled to host the Bengals (2-5-1) at 4:25 p.m. ET. By reaching the final, Sabalenka will enter the top 10 of the WTA rankings for the first time, overtaking Serena Williams. Cheeks, who grew up on Chicago's South Side, was on Donovan's staff in Oklahoma City the past five seasons.

However, the team has been forced to put rookie guard Kevin Dotson on the COVID list meaning he will be unavailable for the game with safety Antoine Brooks Jr. elevated from the practice squad.
