CD Projekt RED Apologizes For Buggy Cyberpunk 2077 Release, Offers Refunds

However, before any of the exciting stuff above is able to happen, CD Projekt RED need to fix the game first. CD Projekt advises console players to go through Xbox and PlayStation's official refund services, a service that has been available for Cyberpunk players since the console versions' poor state was made known.

When is the next patch coming out for Cyberpunk 2077?

First of all, we would like to start by apologizing to you for not showing the game on base last-gen consoles before it premiered and, in effect, not allowing you to make a more informed decision about your purchase.

The next patch for Cyberpunk 2077, update 1.05, should come out on a release date before December 21st. However, none of it, conspicuously, was running on the baseline versions of what were at the time Sony and Microsoft's current-gen consoles.

CD Projekt Red has apologised for not showing Cyberpunk 2077 footage on Xbox One or PS4 ahead of launch, and has promised to "improve the overall experience", while adding that fans are still free to ask for a refund. In a tweet on the Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account, several key figures and board members at CDPR, including Marcin Iwinski and Adam Kicinski, offer an apology and outline plans for Cyberpunk 2077's improvement. CD Projekt Red says it will refund copies if players can't obtain refunds from the retailers where they purchased the game. CD Projekt Red has already pushed out a patch that addresses flashing lights that can trigger epilepsy seizures, problems with its "stream-friendly" soundtrack, and widespread crashes. The studio recognized that players were not allowed to make an informed purchase, and that it didn't pay enough attention to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions despite the fact that Cyberpunk 2077 was originally announced and in development for these platforms.

As for what's next, CD Projekt RED said that it'll release a performance improvement patch within the next week, and it'll continue to release frequent updates.

These large patches for January and February will supposedly fix the most prominent problems on PS4 and Xbox One, but don't expect the game to look as high-end as it does on PC and next-gen. Should this not be possible, please contact us at [email protected] and we will do our best to help you. The PC version would be receiving regular pathces and updates as well, but no timeline was mentioned.
