Cyberpunk 2077 comes to Death Stranding, with a catch

Cyberpunk 2077-themed Reverse Trike vehicle with improved jumping power. Shortly after its release, Cyberpunk 2077 players noticed that Kojima makes a small appearance during a mission called The Heist. Cyberpunk 2077 and Death Stranding are colliding in a cool update for Death Stranding on PC. Kojima's tweet also offered a 50% discount on the purchase of Death Stranding on Steam and the Epic Games store, just in case fans needed more incentive. The Death Standing x Cyberpunk 2077 update is live right now. The latest and greatest crossover to earn the attention of gamers is the inclusion of Cyberpunk 2077 content in Death Stranding. You can see those cosmetic items in the trailer above.

Once you've found the chip, the mysterious "J" will upgrade your compass so you can see your objective marker at all times if you wish. Today, the developer announced a special patch for the PC version that adds some Cyberpunk 2077-themed content. If you're in doubt about where to go next, keep in mind to sleep in a Safe Room, as this may advance the quest.

This crossover will also introduce a brand new gameplay conceit to Death Stranding in the form of Hacking. Players can now stop Mule sensor poles from activating for a period of time, stun enemy Odradeks, and even short out the electronics in Mule trucks to prevent them from moving.

To celebrate this crossover, Death Stranding is now 50% off in the Humble Store, which is a pretty sweet deal. Kojima Productions has not yet confirmed if any updates will eventually be released on PlayStation 4.
