Mauricio Pochettino: Key questions about his move to Paris Saint-Germain

Paris Saint-Germain have sacked manager Thomas Tuchel and as per a report from RMC Sport journalist Mohamed Bouhafsi, he will be replaced by Mauricio Pochettino.

Although di club never officially put out statement to confirm im departure, Tuchel go leave PSG wit di club now in third place for Ligue 1, only one point behind leaders Lyon after 17 games dis season.

He led Tottenham to the 2019 Champions League final, where the north London side were beaten 2-0 by Liverpool.

Tuchel was appointed head coach in 2018 and tasked with delivering a maiden Champions League trophy.

Juan Pablo Sorin, who like Pochettino had a playing stint with PSG, says the incoming head coach has exactly the right profile for the job.

Apart from Pochettino, former Juventus coach, Massimiliano Allegri, is also seen as a possible replacement for Tuchel at PSG.

Sources added that Pochettino, who spent five years with Spurs before his sacking last November, has been in negotiations with PSG for two weeks.

Sources also said Tuchel held meetings with club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi and sporting director Leonardo, and it was chose to replace him last week due to his tension with Leonardo and a lack of playing style.

A record of two consecutive Ligue 1 title wins, with a domestic treble secured last season, was not enough to keep the 47-year-old German in his post.

The apparent move to bring in Pochettino saw praise for the coach come from former Tottenham striker Gary Lineker.
