One-Off Lamborghini SC20 Supercar With 760-hp V12 Engine Unveiled Globally

Lamborghini has unveiled another derivative of the Aventador in the form of the SC20, which is the next one-off model engineered by its Squadra Corse racing division after the Essenza SCV12. Behind is mounted an aluminium subframe, to which Lamborghini's 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 engine and I.S.R semi-automatic transmission are mounted.

"The SC20 is one more technical and styling exercise that associates Squadra Corse experience with Lamborghini design, masterfully interpreted by our Centro Stile based on the customer's wishes, which was the focus of the project during the entire vehicle development and construction process", he said.

But perhaps the most impressive attribute is its ultra lightweight and aerodynamic carbon fibre body, which was polished and slicked down by hand to ensure optimal airflow for both performance and the cockpit's occupants, even at high speeds.

Developed by Squadra Corse, the firm's in-house racing division, the SC20 was built at the request of a customer who eagerly participated in almost every step of the design process. The large rear wing is made from carbon-fibre and has three downforce settings.

Other chief influences on the vehicle include the Huracán GT3 Evo racer, which was the inspiration for the SC20's pronounced front hood air intakes, and the Essenza SCV12, which has influenced the SC20's sides.

The SC20 is finished in a "Bianco Fu" white paint created specifically for the customer, with Blu Cepheus (blue) livery on top.

The interior has carbon fiber on the dashboard, rear wall, door panels and center console.

Lamborghini SC20 has a luxurious 2-seater dual-tone cabin with Nero Cosmus (Black) and Bianco Leda (White) color trims, sport seats, Alcantara upholstery, and 3D printed air vents. Lamborghini used the composite material to make the seat shells, too, and it machined the door handles out of solid aluminum. That's sent through Lambo's seven-speed "independent shifting rod" gearbox (the same one used in the Aventador) to all four wheels.

"The SC20 is a combination of sophisticated engineering, Italian craftsmanship, sportiness and advanced design".

The vehicle is flanked by sleek ORVMs and single-nut 20-inch/21-inch aluminium wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires.

The new speedster, which goes by the name SC20, is designed for track use but can also be driven on the street.
