Sevilla manager Lopetegui labels Chelsea as England's BEST attacking team

Chelsea forward Olivier Giroud has become the oldest player to score a Champions League hat-trick on a record breaking night, after scoring all four of his side's goals in their win over Sevilla on Wednesday.

Gilmour is yet to feature for Lampard's side in the current season, having returned from a knee injury that prematurely ended his involvement on the pitch last term.

Speaking before tonight's return at the Estadio Sanchez Pizjuan, which will likely decide which team wins the group, Jordan tells The Athletic the former Chelsea midfielder might have had himself to blame had he found the net in their first meeting.

And ahead of the clash with the La Liga giants, Lampard said of Gilmour: "He's fit now Billy, he could probably do with some more match minutes which are hard to get in Covid times, but he's doing very well".

While Chelsea manager Frank Lampard would be tempted to ring the changes and hand fringe players a chance to impress, he would want to keep his side's momentum and unbeaten run going, and that could have a huge say on his starting XI.

"It will be nice if he can get some minutes particularly over these two Champions League games, in the remainder of the group stage".

"There will be so much more to come from him at this club because of the talent he has".

"He's got a great attitude, he trains brilliantly, and he's looking spot-on".

Lampard also confirmed that Callum Hudson-Odoi is back in the squad after being left out against Tottenham on Sunday.
