'The Little Things' trailer: Denzel Washington and Rami Malek's powerful dialogues

The Little Things, written and directed by John Lee Hancock (The Blindside, The Founder, The Highwaymen), hits U.S. cinemas and HBO Max on January 29th.

Washington and Malek play Joe "Deke" Deacon and Jim Baxter, a Kern County deputy and a Los Angeles detective who clash while investigating a series of murders. "It's the little things that get you caught".

Oscar-winning actors Denzel Washington, Rami Malek and Jared Leto strike great form in the first trailer of the upcoming crime thriller, The Little Things.

Leto said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly published Monday that he made "a complete transformation" to play Sparma. Instead, he becomes embroiled in the search for a killer who is terrorising the city.

"The Little Things" is - shocker - an original story and an original script from writer-director John Lee Hancock, who previously directed "The Highwaymen" with Kevin Costner and Woody Harrelson, "The Founder" with Michael Keaton, and 'Saving Mr. Banks' with Tom Hanks and Emma Thompson. Within his network two women rise to power: Annalisa (Cristina Donadio), named "Scianel", a key drug pusher and a natural leader, and Patrizia (Cristiana Dell'Anna), one of Genny's most faithful foot soldiers. But as they track the killer, the Sergeant is unaware that the investigation is dredging up echoes of their past, uncovering disturbing secrets that could threaten more than his case, which includes a man that they believe may be the prime suspect (Leto).

The Little Things is scheduled for a January 21, 2021 release in theaters, and also as part of that recently-announced HBO Max release deal.

Warner Bros. Pictures presents A Gran Via Production, "The Little Things" will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros.
