That unidentified organization is planning on storming government offices in every state on January 20, the day of Biden's inauguration, according to ABC.
The internal bulletin, obtained by ABC News, states that starting this week and running through at least Inauguration Day, armed protests are being planned at all 50 state capitals and the US Capitol.
Governor Murphy told ABC that they are taking these reports very seriously and that the State Police are preparing for a potential armed demonstration in Trenton.
The same group, which the bulletin reportedly does not name, is demanding that courthouses and administrative buildings at all levels of government be stormed should President Trump be removed from office before the January 20 inauguration of Joe Biden.
"Additional reports indicate threats against VP-Elect Harris and Speaker Pelosi", it adds.
Biden's inaugural committee said on Monday the theme of the January 20 ceremony will be "America United", even as the country grapples with the fallout of last Wednesday's storming of the Capitol by Trump loyalists.
"While I will be reaching out to a broad range of local, regional and federal partners to enhance cooperation among our bodies, I strongly urge the United States Department of Homeland Security to adjust its approach to the Inauguration in several specific ways", Bowser wrote in a letter to Chad Wolf, the acting secretary of the department.
Investigators believe some of the people are members of some extremist groups, the officials said. "Now, the planners, they are all going to take it much more seriously".
The FBI has reportedly warned that armed protests are being planned at every state capitol following last week's deadly riot in Washington, D.C.
The Chief of the National Guard Bureau, General Daniel Hokanson, told reporters he expected about 10,000 troops in Washington by Saturday to help provide security, logistics and communications.
Washington Mayor Muriel Bowser on Sunday called for a different approach to security before the January 20 event after what she called last week's "unprecedented terrorist attack". There have been online calls for more protests leading up to the inauguration, including a so-called Million Militia March on January 20, and federal authorities promised aggressive pursuit of rioters.
