The son of Russian billionaire, Dmitry Mazepin, Nikita will make his Formula 1 debut in 2021 racing for the Haas team, but the driver's reputation can already be regarded as questionable.
The woman tagged in the video that was uploaded posted a message to Instagram shortly after Haas issued a statement to say it was "nothing serious at all".
The clip shows the Russian sitting in the back seat of a vehicle where he reaches and grabs a woman sitting next to him inappropriately by the chest.
The woman, who is seen resisting Mazepin's sexual move by trying to shove his hand away, shows her middle finger to the camera before putting it in her mouth.
The Russian driver was announced in a race seat for 2021 ahead of last week's F2 season finale in Bahrain.
"Haas F1 Team does not condone the behavior of Nikita Mazepin in the video recently posted on his social media", the statement reads.
Haas responded to the incident on Wednesday, asserting it is dealing with the matter internally.
At one point, Mazepin turns to the back seat, where a scantily clad young woman is seated.
"I would like to apologise for my recent actions, both in terms of my own inappropriate behaviour, and the fact that it was posted on to social media", he said. I acknowledge I have let myself and many people down. "I promise I will learn from this", concluded Haas's future F1 driver.
On Thursday morning, the FIA and F1 released a joint statement in support of Haas, and issuing a reminder of their commitment to inclusivity within the series.
His bosses on the Haas F1 team ripped the driver over the video - calling the footage "abhorrent".
They added in a second tweet, "The matter is being dealt with internally, and no further comment shall be made at this time".
"The ethical principles and diverse and inclusive culture of our sport are of the utmost importance to the FIA and Formula 1".
And now, the Haas driver-to-be is at the centre of another controversy after the 21-year-old posted a video to his Instagram story which has been labelled "abhorrent" by Haas F1 Team who he's set to drive for next season.
