Nets forward Kevin Durant to quarantine for 7 days

Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant is facing a one-week quarantine after being exposed to an individual who tested positive for COVID-19, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Durant announced in March that he contracted COVID-19. It means that he has triggered a clause in the NBA's 134-page manual outlining the league's health and safety protocols for the new season being played outside of a bubble. National Basketball Association rules state that a player who has been in close contact with someone with a positive test must quarantine for a week; the rules don't distinguish between players who have already had the virus and those who haven't. Hutchison and Satoransky are in self-isolation after testing positive for COVID-19. James Harden was also placed in quarantine for attending a "private indoor party" without a mask.

Durant's first missed game will be vs. the Utah Jazz on Tuesday, as the Nets already listed him as "out" on their status report Monday because of "health and safety protocols". The Nets are 3-4 through seven games.

The Nets are 3-4, and Durant is off to a fantastic start in his first season back after missing previous year recovering from an Achilles injury. He is averaging 28.2 points, 7 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game in 34 minutes of playing time.
