1973 - The Jackson 5 performs in concert in New Orleans, Lousiana.

1974 - The Jackson 5 start a new series of shows at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas.

1988 - Michael Jackson performs to a capacity audience of 43,000 at a concert in Wurzburg, Germany.

1993 - The Los Angeles Police Department conducted a raid of Michael Jackson's ranch. They seized evidence which they later confirmed contained no incriminating evidence.

1994 - The Jacksons, minus Randy, performed at a U.K. Scientology fund-raiser "For The Children Of The World."

1995 - "You Are Not Alone" released in UK, enter in chart at number 3. The week later it'll reach the top of the chart.

2001 - According to Rolling Stone, the King of Pop won't be appearing on rapper Jay-Z's upcoming CD 'Blueprint,' as has been previously reported. In order to make the September 18 release date for the album Jay-Z had to put the finishing touches on it by this Wednesday and Michael won't be able to make it to the rapper's studio until next week. Don't worry though. Michael will appear on a future remix of the song 'Girls, Girls, Girls.' And a sample of the J5's 'I Want You Back' was used for the song 'Izzo (H.O.V.A.)'.

1984 - The Jackson brothers now have three hits on the US single Chart: "State of Shock" (3) by the Jacksons (Duet with Michael Jackson and Mick Jagger), "Dynamite" (24) by Jermaine Jackson and "Torture" debuting at number 48. The Jacksons have also four album: "Victory" by The Jacksons, "Thriller" by Michael Jackson, "Farewell my Summer Love" by The Jackson 5 and "Off The Wall" again... by Michael Jackson!

1990 - Michael Jackson hired Sandy Gallin as his new personal manager.

2004 - The stepfather of Michael Jackson accuser testified that he had sought payment for video interviews designed to restore Michael Jackson's reputation.

2004 - Michael Jackson issued a brief statement on his Web site that complained that his family has for years been "vilified and humiliated" by a recent TV movie. The statement did not make any referenced to the child molestation charges he was facing at the time.

1990 - Michael Jackson invited 130 YMCA children to his ranch.

2001 - Alien Ant Farm's cover of Michael Jackson's hit 'Smooth Criminal' is number one on Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks Chart this week and is on the move up the Hot 100 Singles Chart. The success of 'Smooth Criminal' is also helping to move the group's album 'ANThology' up the Album Chart as well. It's jumped from #18 last week to #12 this week.

2004 - It was reported that Michael Jackson had requested the opportunity to make a public statement about the California attorney general's conclusion that Jackson was not mistreated as he had claimed when he surrendered to authorities on November 20, 2003.

1993 - The Los Angeles Police Department began investigating charges brought by the father of a 13-year-old boy that Jackson had allegedly abused earlier in the year.

1995 - Michael Jackson gave his first Internet chat.

1999 - On Sunday, the Dalai Lama, earthly embodiment of the Buddha of Compassion granted an audience to Michael Jackson. It was the first meeting between His Holiness and Michael. The meeting took place at the Mark Hotel. The Dalai Lama and Michael spoke for about 20 minutes The Dalai Lama left New York Yesterday, but Michael remained in New York finishing an album. While there, he dined at a New York apartment with Dolly Parton and Elizabeth Taylor. According to a source, the focus of much of their talk was the death of John Kennedy Jr. and the dangers Celebrities face when flying private planes.

2003 - Michael Jackson is nominated for two awards at The Capital Gold Legends Awards, to be held at the Hilton Metropole hotel in London (UK) on Friday, September 26, 2003. He is one of the nominees for the 'Legendary Male' award and also the 'Legendary Album award' for 'Thriller'. The awards, which will be an invitation only event, will coincide with Capital Radio's 30th anniversary and will honor exceptional contributions to the music industry spanning the last four decades. Over 700 guests consisting of celebrities, VIP's, major recording artists along with many others are expected to attend the event. Funds raised through the event will go to charity, in this case The NSPCC, which specialises in the prevention of cruelty to children and child protection.

2004 - Superior Court Judge Rodney Melville ruled that police did have "probable cause" that Michael Jackson had committed a crime when they searched his Neverland ranch in November 2003.

1974 - The Jackson 5 performs in concert in St. Paul, Minnesota.

1979 - Michael Jackson appear on the cover of Jet Magazine. He gave to the magazine an exclusive interview this month.

1992 - Michael Jackson performs in concert to an audience of 60,000 at RoundHay Park in Leeds, England.

1995 - Michael Jackson's "History: Past, Present & Future Book 1" was certified Gold and 5 times Platinum.

2001 - Whitney Houston confirmed performances for both Friday, September 7, 2001 and Monday, September 10, 2001 at the all-star tribute in honor of Michael Jackson at Madison Square Garden. Producer David Gest said in a press release: "Whitney is one of my closest friends and I am delighted she will share this special occasion with Michael, who happens to be her favorite artist. They will perform a duet together." Michael expressed his delight about Whitney joining him on both nights by stating: "I feel Whitney is one of the greatest voices in the world. She could sing the yellow pages and I would buy it. I absolutely adore her and am her greatest fan." Additionally Whitney Houston's husband Bobby Brown has been added to the line-ups for both concerts.

2004 - Michael Jackson, and five of his siblings, attended the first day of a hearing in which Jackson's attorney questioned Santa Barbara County District Attorney Tom Sneddon. The questions related to a November 2003 search warrant of the office of a private investigator that had been hired by Jackson's former attorney.

2004 - Michael Jackson was a special guest of Rev. Cecil "Chip" Murray at the First African Methodist Episcopal Church in Los Angeles. One of the most respected churches in the Los Angeles African-American community, the 10:00 a.m. Michael Jackson, his youngest brother Randy Jackson, entertainer Steve Harvey, and attorney Mr. Thomas Messerau sat comfortably towards the back of the church and enjoyed the service. Although news of Michael's appearance was not widely publicized, the press from most major news channels were on hand. Much of the public learned of Michael's appearance from hearing it mentioned on the Steve Harvey radio program earlier. There were a handful of fans who knew where First AME Church was located and were able to be there to greet Michael. After Michael left the church he made his way to the Cecil F. Murray Education Center, a small school a block away that is run by First AME Church. There, he was scheduled to greet a class room full of about 25 African-American children. The press were told before Michael entered the room that there would be absolutely no questions that would be allowed by the press.

1995 - Michael Jackson's single "You Are Not Alone" from the album "History" was released. The single become the first ever song to go straight in number one on the Billboard Chart.

1993 - Michael Jackson began the second leg of his tour in Hong Kong.

1987 - "I Just Can't Stop Loving You" the first single from the album "Bad" hits at number one on the top 100 Singles Chart in Britain

1985 - After ten months of negotiations Michael Jackson outbid Paul McCartney and Yoko Ono for the ATV music-publishing catalog. Jackson paid $47.5 million to Robert Holmes for the rights to more than 4,000 compositions that includes 251 songs written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney.

1992 - Michael Jackson's maxi single for "Jam" was released.

1999 - MJJ Productions has confirmed that Michael will give a press conference on August 29, to announce his millennium concerts. The exact location and time of the conference will be announced soon.

2001 - The Jackson brothers convened in Los Angeles to begin rehearsing for the two tribute concerts at Madison Square Garden, New York in September.

2002 – Michael Jackson wins a cross complaint lawsuit filed in 1996 against the Chandler, because Jordy and his father breached an agreement signed in 1994; now he should receive 15 milion of dollars back. Evan Chandler in 1996 filed a lawsuit claiming that Michael Jackson had broke an agreement made out of court in 1994; Chandler said that Michael was not suppose to claim his innocence on national television after the court case; Chandler asked for all financed Jackson had made for his 1995 Album “History”. But in 1998 after hearing the evidence and all the cases the arbitration panel decided that Jackson didn’t break the agreement and he was awarded with legal fees and cost.

2003 – Some picture taken from Dr. Farschian (a doctor who healed Michael Jackson after spider bite) were avaiable on the doctor's website: the picture speak for themeself and show how sever is the vitiligo skin disease on Michael’s body.

2003 - Usher, who performed at Michael's '30th Anniversary Special', is due to attend the birthday party along with Slash and Bret Ratner, banning any sudden changes to their schedules.

1969 - Diana Ross invited 350 guests to a Beverly Hills club to see the newest Motown act, The Jackson 5. Berry Gordy predicts that the Jackson 5 first 3 singles will be number ones hit single and that they will become one of the biggest selling acts of the decade.

1973 - The Jackson 5 perform in concert in Columbia, South Carolina.

1974 - The Jackson 5 perform in concert in Kansas City, Missouri.

1992 - Michael Jackson's single "Jam" was released.

1995 - New York Times, titled "SONY'S GROUP PROFIT RISES 91%". The articled added the rises of profit to the release of "History", by Michael Jackson.

1998 - The soundtrack to "How Stella Got Her Groove Back" was released. The album contained the Shaggy and Janet Jackson duet "Luv Me, Luv Me."

1974 - The Jackson 5 appear in concert in Huntsville, Alabama.

1988 - Michael Jackson performed to a capacity audience of 60,000 in Madrid, Spain (Bad Tour).

1994 - Michael Jackson and Lisa Marie Presley made a public appearance in Budapest. Jackson was shooting a Communist-themed video. They visited two children's hospital where they distributed 2,600 toys to sick kids.
