New Orleans Saints negotiating with Dez Bryant

Former Dallas Cowboys star Dez Bryant is reportedly one of three wide receivers set to work out for the New Orleans Saints on Tuesday, according to NFL Network's Jane Slater.

The New Orleans Saints seem intent on bringing in another notable wide receiver to play alongside Michael Thomas.

The Saints were in the market for help at receiver after placing Ted Ginn Jr on injured reserve on October 18. And Cameron Meredith hasn't panned out as hoped since joining the team as a restricted free agent this offseason, with zero targets over the past three games. Third-round rookie Tre'Quan Smith has started four games this season, tallying 214 yards and three touchdowns through eight games.

The Saints win over previously unbeaten LA has solidified them as a threat to make the Super Bowl.

Chance at redemption for Bryant?

After months of speculation, Dez Bryant may finally find a new home.

If Bryant and the Saints reach terms, he'll have the chance to redeem his career and contribute to a victor. It's an offense that's all about timing on combination routes, aligning everything so that Brees can either get the ball out quickly to a first or second read, or for Brees to hurl the ball downfield.

And if he does return to form, the high-octane Saints will be that much more feared in the second half of the season.
