Isha Ambani-Anand Piramal wedding: All that happened at the extravagant sangeet

Invitees to the pre-wedding festivities, in the central Indian lake city of Udaipur, range from global celebrities such as Beyonce to politicians like Hillary Clinton and business tycoons including Henry Kravis, according to people familiar with the matter.

Saturday night saw a slew of performances by Bollywood stars, including Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra and Karan Johar, while Beyoncé took to the stage on Sunday.

Isha Ambani, daughter of India's wealthiest man and bridesmaid in the Chopra-Jonas wedding, is set to marry fellow billionaire heir Anand Piramal this Wednesday, according to BBC. Around 5100 people were fed three times a day from December 7 to December 10 to coincide with the pre-wedding functions.

Perhaps the idea of the "big fat Indian wedding" has never been so well demonstrated as in Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal's pre-wedding festivities.

Global stars performing at lavish Indian weddings has been a long-running trend. Isha and Anand did a little number together, too.

The actual wedding is scheduled to take place today at the Ambani residence in Mumbai. Dressed in her orange shimmery ethnic, Nita Ambani looks elegant while expressing her dance moves.

Beyoncé was one of many celebrities flown in, along with Hillary Clinton for the wedding.

A view of the illuminated City Palace, one of the venues for the pre-wedding celebrations of Isha Ambani, daughter of the Chairman of Reliance Industries Mukesh Ambani, is seen in Udaipur, in the desert state of Rajasthan, India, Dec 9, 2018.

The larger-than-life celebrations are also being attended by Huffington Post founder Arianna Huffington, steel tycoon Lakshmi Mittal and newly-married actress Priyanka Chopra, who herself dazzled the world just a week ago when she married USA singer Nick Jonas in a lavish ceremony full of stars, extravagant fashion, music, and dance. A specially curated exhibition called "Swadesh Bazaar" has also been set up to showcase 108 traditional Indian crafts and arts from all parts of India.
