Trump Rips Warren Over ‘Beer Catastrophe’ Video, References Wounded Knee, Little Bighorn

Elizabeth Warren, who cracked open a beer on-camera and took some questions from her followers on New Year's Eve in a spontaneous livestream posted on Instagram that channeled similar social-media efforts of the young and hip.

President Donald Trump went on a Twitter rant against Elizabeth Warren Sunday night, mocking the MA senator for a video in which she announced her presidential intentions.

Elizabeth Warren's purported Native American heritage on Sunday by invoking both Wounded Knee and the Battle of Little Bighorn in yet another Pocahontas tweet.

Warren's office could not immediately be reached for comment Sunday night.

Trump has long called Warren "Pocahontas" as a way of undercutting her claim to Native American heritage in attempting to denigrate her credibility. "I'm glad you're here, '" Trump continued.

In the video, the liberal firebrand had a craving for alcohol: "Hold on a second - I'm gonna get me a beer", she said, as she walked out of view of the camera.

At Wounded Knee in 1890, as many as 400 unarmed men, women and children were killed by United States soldiers.

Trump's decision to tweet about Wounded Knee also comes as the government shutdown enters its fourth week, which disproportionally affects Native Americans, who rely on government services for day-to-day life.

On the day the live stream was posted, Warren had announced that she would be running for US President in 2020 - the first major candidate to do so.

The feud between Trump and Warren goes back to the 2016 presidential campaign after Trump seized on Warren's claims that she had Native American heritage, labelling her "Pocahontas".

Earlier this month, Trump posted a parody image of a Warren campaign logo mocking the results of her DNA test.

He added, "Best line in the Elizabeth Warren beer catastrophe is, to her husband, "Thank you for being here".
