Antonio Brown Threatening To Quit Football Over Helmet Issues

Brown, 31, who the Raiders acquired in a trade with the Steelers this offseason, has yet to practice as he deals with the feet issue.

League sources said Brown had a two-hour conference call with NFL officials on Friday in an attempt to argue why he should be allowed to wear his 10-year-old helmet.

While this seems like an idle threat for Brown to hold over the league, no one can be certain that he won't sit out.

The newest Oakland superstar has worn the same brand of helmet throughout his Hall of Fame-worthy career. but the National Football League announced this year it's banning players from using it. When he showed up for the first OTA, however, Brown requested his old helmet. After being told he'd have to wear an approved model, witnesses say, the receiver began loudly voicing his displeasure, complaining that quarterbacks such as Brady and Rodgers were not being subjected to the same scrutiny. He was again told it was not allowed and replaced it with the new version.

The post led to plenty of speculation about what happened to Brown's feet.

Antonio Brown has an issue but it's not one a pediatrist can solve.

Looks like Raider Nation is in for one wild year.

That's the only part of the Brown foot saga that is concrete thus far, because the timeline for his return from the injury itself sure isn't.

Brown also has had issues with being late to meetings and paying attention during them, Silver reported.
