Apple Card now available to all (in the US) with more rewards

Apple Card customers who carry a balance on Apple Card accounts will be charged variable annual interest rates on the balances, ranging from 12.99%-23.99% "based on creditworthiness" (with rates as of August 2).

The Apple Card is now available to all in the US.

The buzzy new Apple Card is officially ready for picking and has branched out, adding Uber and Uber Eats as bonus cash-back categories and indicating more will come. Interest will accrue on purchases not paid off in full each month, however.

Remember, with Apple Card, you get 3% back on all Apple purchases, including the Apple Store, iTunes and App Stores, services like Apple Music, and even the iPhone Upgrade Program (even though it's not directly through Apple, it actually counts). It can, however, be used just like any traditional card with a chip and magnetic stripe, and is permanently linked to a single iPhone user account as of writing.

But, ultimately, the Apple Card is the latest in the company's attempts to keep its existing user base within its ecosystem however possible amid slipping hardware sales. The variable annual percentage rate could be anywhere from 12.99 percent to 23.99 percent, depending upon credit history.

Privacy and security are also big things with the Apple Card, as Apple says that it won't know where you shopped, what you bought, or how much you spent.

You will also enjoy 24/7 customer service through the Message app, and absolutely no fees whatsoever. Other than that, your transaction history will live on your device and will be synced using end-to-end encryption.

That means the physical Apple Card has no number displayed on its matte surface. Apple says it will extend the three percent back offer to other "popular merchants and apps in the coming months". Finally, purchases made with the titanium Apple card get you 1% Daily Cash. You'll need an iPhone that can run iOS 12.4 to get the card, making the iPhone 6 the oldest iPhone that can support it. You'll need to fill out some information, and a few seconds later, you'll receive a credit limit and April offer. The simplified interface gives customers real-time views of the transactions including some detailed weekly and monthly spending summaries.

"We're thrilled with the overwhelming interest in Apple Card and its positive reception", said Jennifer Bailey, Apple's vice president of Apple Pay in a statement.
