More rain on Wednesday with storm coverage increasing through the weekend

Most of the storms this afternoon have been confined across north central Wisconsin.

The warming trend continues for the rest of next week with highs in the upper 90s to low 100s.

Showers and thunderstorms from yesterday will return this afternoon albeit with less coverage. By Friday, an upper level ridge is expected to nudge eastward which will stabilize and dry out the atmosphere.

A few showers and storms are possible into the evening with any storm development likely fading after sunset. Not all areas will see thunderstorms, but where they form, they have a chance to become strong to severe. We will see a mix of mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies today. Storms that fire could produce small hail and gusty winds; however, the overall severe risk should be low. A reinforcing push of cooler air will arrive on Thursday with scattered showers and storms tapering.

A pleasant stretch as we head into the upcoming weekend.

Monday looks good too, although very warm as thermometers creep into the upper 80s. Follow him on Facebook or Twitter for the latest forecast and realtime weather updates.
