Samsung Galaxy Note 10-series tipped to come with Exynos 9825 SoC

Samsung Galaxy Note 10-series tipped to come with Exynos 9825 SoC

Galaxy Note 10 will be shipping with an adapter in the box which you will have to use if you want to plug your traditional headphones.

In a unusual twist to the above, the Note 10 models to be sold via Verizon are going to be powered by the SD 855 chipset. This is odd especially if we look at the historical record of the company that has brought its flagships to the United States market with a Qualcomm SoC instead of its in-house Exynos chipset.

Additionally, the Snapdragon 855 Plus was recently announced by Qualcomm and was stated to be more capable than the regular 855, housed inside other S10 models, when conducting a number of heavy smartphone tasks such as gaming. The same won't likely be the case with the Note 10-series.

Ahead of August 7 launch, a hand-on video of dummy Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus have surfaced on the internet.

In addition to flaunting a new processor, the Note 10 is anticipated to come with a new all-screen design and camera system. The Galaxy Note 10+ with 256GB of storage will set you back €1,099 in Europe, while the 512GB model will cost €1,199. A 360-degree view of the device also confirmed there won't be a 3.5mm headphone jack which was further bolstered by another revelation that the phone will ship with the USB-C to 3.5mm headphone jack.

The positioning of the camera module has also been changed in the upcoming next-generation Galaxy Note-series smartphones.

It's ostensibly going to be an iterative upgrade - and possibly unique to the Galaxy Note 10 - so it may feature only a few minor tweaks.

Alternatively, the Exynos 9825 may have the edge over the Snapdragon 855, meaning Verizon could have gotten exclusive access to the best performing Galaxy Note 10 on the market.

We will know Samsung's decision on August 7 when the Galaxy Note 10 is revealed.
