'Bachelor' 2020: Hannah Brown Reacts to Peter Weber's Finale Hannah Ann Conversation

Harrison, 48, opened up to PEOPLE about Peter Weber's controversial mother Barbara's harsh critique of her son's relationship with Madison Prewett, saying he was "shocked and a little saddened" by her blunt honesty.

If you thought Barbara Weber's shade was awkward, imagine how host Chris Harrison felt in his role as the evening's moderator. After the Bachelor finale, fans saw that Hannah B. had liked some semi-shady Instagram posts about Peter, such as a post where Hannah Ann called him not a "real man". 'His world got kind shaken on live TV. "It was uncomfortable, and he was probably embarrassed-probably angry and rightfully so". After Chris Harrison visited Madison to tell her that Peter had broken things off with Hannah Ann, she agreed to give her relationship with Peter another shot.

"In life-and I am a parent-you only want what's best for your kids". Something tells us she'll have no problem finding a man who's willing to treat her right-and she knows exactly what she's not looking for this time around. Maybe", he added. "But did she need to make that statement at that time?

"I needed to work on, leading up to this day, to forgive Peter and to move forward and doing that is isolating myself from anyone close to him", she said in part two of the interview, which will drop Friday. Before the proposal, Barb expressed a clear preference for Sluss, begging her son to "bring her home to us". "I tried to fix it". I was trying to, like, extend an olive branch and I was hopefully trying to leave on a good note and just couldn't get there.

"She was a star", Harrison said of the now-viral "Barb Cam".

He added: 'People have to understand, when I left Australia, I thought we had this unbelievable show that would've been half of tonight.
